I understand that if I do my job well, don't create any funding conditions, be flexible to the needs of you and your signers, and give the borrower the best signing experience, this reflects well on you with your clients!
I also understand that you may have multiple notaries that you trust to do business with. I get it. Is there anything your notaries won't do that you wish they would? If so, let's have a discussion!
Brian N. Shreve
Notary Signing Agent
Because It Has To Be Right... EVERY SINGLE TIME!
Having done over 1000 closings, I've dealt with all types of document systems. I can guide your signers through the process with ease. I know what to look for in the docs so there are no funding issues. I explain the documents so I don't just hand them over and say sign here.
I present documents in a manner that addresses the immediate concerns of the signers and brings a good flow to the closing. Most purchase/refi closings are completed in 45-60 minutes or less.
Not every person signs at the same speed. Some want to read every word. Some just want to get through the process so they can go back to their busy schedules. Having the patience to work with signers brings them peace of mind and a positive experience.
Not every signer can be available during normal business hours. I am available to you early morning, nights, weekends and holidays. Last-minute signings are no deterrent either. If I have availability, I'll handle it for you.
I have an online calendar where you can check my availability and even book time directly. You'll get an email confirmation and can manage the booking if for some reason it gets canceled or needs to be rescheduled. Of course, I can manage all of that for you as well.
Se Habla Español! Growing up in a Spanish-speaking household, I was able to learn Spanish at an early age. Now I can use that to facilitate the closing for your Spanish-speaking signers.
Your office, the signer's home, a public venue... all of the locations that I will go to facilitate the closing. I am based in North Hills, but I serve Raleigh, Durham, and beyond. I will even cover your signings 2 hours away.
I give regular status updates, including closing appointment confirmation, arrival at the appointment, completion, and delivery of documents (if mailing). I will also call the loan officer to let them know that the signing is complete.
Docs for closings done by 3pm can be returned same day, I will also work with you on time-sensitive closings to get you the signed documents immediately after closing.
I carry a portable scanner to all of my closings to capture IDs and to scan signed documents as they are being signed. I can send you scanned copies of the documents within the hour.
I am a commissioned electronic notary for North Carolina and I am Pavaso-certified with Signature Closers, but I can also work with you if you have lenders that prefer to do hybrid eClosings.
I always remain impartial, but never uneducated. If your signers have questions regarding the specifics of the documents, I will refer them to the proper place. In the unlikely event that an error occurs, I am covered with a $1M errors and omissions policy.
Month-end is a busy time for everyone. I can help! You may have your preferred notaries, but in that end-of-the-month push to get everything in, your notaries may be double-booked. Allow me to help you get everything done by the end of the month.
I focus on the requirements and needs of your clients and signers. Any issues that arise, I will work with all parties to get things resolved, while remaining flexible and showing patience. We all are on the same team and have the same objective, so I'll do whatever needs to be done to accomplish it.
I am able to print on both letter and legal paper, so I can print your files effortlessly on the page size set up in the PDF. I also check to make sure that no pages get cut off so that there are no issues at the table and for funding.
I review documents multiple times to ensure stamps and signatures are not missed. I also go through to make sure that everything is filled in. The last thing anyone wants is to create delays in funding due to missed stamps or signatures.
In the event an error occurs, I will handle it and get it taken care of immediately. I understand that it's my responsibility to get documents signed to everyone's satisfaction. Even if the error occurred with your client or in your office, I will take care of it for you!
I will not nickel-and-dime you on any additional services. I do not charge extra for scanbacks, print fees or returning documents back to your office.
I want to be fair to everyone involved. I will never charge you more than what is on the Settlement Statement. If you have a special case where there isn't enough money there, I can work with you.
I help your signers understand what the document is that is being presented while not giving legal or financial advice. I understand that I cannot tell them how to fill out a document or why they are filling out a document. I will never hand the documents to your signers and tell them to "just sign here" or that "I'm just a notary".
Closing is a stressful event for signers, especially if they have never purchased property before. I promise to be patient with them as I understand that giving the signers a positive signing experience reflects well on you with your client. If they have questions regarding a document, I point out to them where they can find the answer, or they can call their lender representative or closing attorney to answer their questions.
We all have the same objective: to have a successful closing. I promise to give the utmost importance and professionalism that reflects positive on you and that you deserve to all parties involved.
I understand that the key to repeat business is by performing error-free closings, being reasonable on fees, giving your signers a positive experience, and by being professional. Being fair and professional are two cornerstones of my character and I promise to never waiver on either of those.
